( *NOTE: all absences will result in an automated phone call from the district for every day of absence. If you have already reported your child’s absence online, this message can be ignored.) . Review the England Family Guidebook for essential attendance information. ARRIVAL PROCEDURES: Please l ook at the map to view the zones : Doors open at 7:15 am. The front of the school is for bikers, walkers and car riders ONLY. To ensure the safety of our students, parents are not allowed to walk students into the school building. Staff are on duty to guide your children safely to class. Bikers and walkers : Bike riders must walk their bikes once they are on school grounds. Students will enter through the main front entrance of the school. Bus and Day Care Riders: Will be dropped off at the north side of campus by the library. Car Riders: There are TWO options for morning drop off: the front and back of the school. Staff will be stationed along the driveway to help students exit vehicles until 7:35 am. Students MUST exit from the right side of the vehicle . DO NOT let students out on the left side of the vehicle. The back doors will lock at 7:35 am. DO NOT drop students off in the back if staff members are not there because the doors will be locked. Late arrivals will need to be walked up to the front entrance. No parent park and walk up: To ensure everyone’s safety and the need to maintain social distance parents should not park and walk students up to the school building during drop off time (between 7:15 – 7:35 am). Students arriving after the 7:35 am tardy bell, must be escorted by a parent to the front office intercom (located outside the front entrance doors) to check students in. LUNCH: Students will be eating lunch in the cafeteria. If students will not be purchasing lunch then parents are encouraged to send lunch with the student in their backpack to help avoid any cross contamination. If students forget lunch there will be a cart outside the front office door for late drop off. Parents must bring late lunches no later than 10am and put the student name, teacher and grade on the lunch box prior to coming to school. To ensure that we maintain a safe environment and avoid disruption of instructional time, only parents are allowed in for lunch to sit with their child at designated tables outside the cafeteria. DISMISSAL PROCEDURES: Staff members will escort students in groups to the following dismissal zones at 2:55 pm each day: Car Riders: Front drive is for 2nd-5th grade only. The back driveway of the school is designated for Pre-Kindergarten-1st grade and older siblings only. All students must be picked up by 3:10 pm. Daycare Riders : north side of school YMCA: (cafeteria) Parents must park in the back and pick up after 3:15 pm . Bike Riders: (bike racks in front of school), must walk bikes off campus Walkers: dismissed at the bike racks and must stay along the outside sidewalks to Pearson Ranch Road sidewalk. No walking through the parking lot. Bus Riders: (north side of the school) * Specifically designated for eligible riders only* and we cannot accommodate guests riding home on buses No parent park and walk up: To ensure everyone’s safety parents should not park and walk students up to the school building during pick up time Please discuss dismissal information with your child to avoid confusion during afternoon dismissal. EARLY PICKUP PROCEDURES : If a student needs to be released early from school for an appointment, parents/guardians need to come to the front office intercom with a Photo ID to check the student out. If someone other than the parent/guardian will be picking up the student, the person picking up must be listed as one of the student’s emergency contacts. Parents/Guardians should email the school registrar (monica_gonzalez@roundrockisd.org) at least 24 hours in advance to add any additional people to the emergency contacts. The email should specify the name and phone number of the person picking up. If you need to pick up your student near the end of the day, make plans to do so no later than 2:00 p.m. To preserve instructional time, students are called to the office once the parent arrives. Parents/Guardians/Emergency Contact will need to bring a valid photo ID Office staff will call students to the office for dismissal while parents will remain outside. LATE PICKUP PROCEDURE : All students are expected to be picked up by 3:10 pm. Teachers will remain with their class at the pick-up area until all students are picked up. CHANGES IN AFTERNOON DISMISSAL : When making changes to your child’s regular dismissal routine, please communicate your arrangements to the front office (512-704-1200) prior to 1:30 pm. All New and Returning Volunteers must complete the RRISD Volunteer application each year. (Allow for 72 hours for application to be processed)The Round Rock ISD Volunteer Application can be found on RRISD website here . To enroll your child as a student at Elsa England Elementary, please read and complete the steps outlined below: 1. Find your attendance zone using the Round Rock ISD school locator . If your address falls near the District boundaries, please contact our office. 2. Complete the required student registration forms online. RRISD New Student Online Registration . 3. Next, visit the office at Elsa England Elementary. Guardian(s) of new students must present ALL of the following documents to complete enrollment: a. Birth certificate b. Parent ID c. Proof of residence: ·A documentation of rent or ownership (The lease agreement if you are renting or the contract of sale if you are purchasing) ·One of the current utility bills (water, gas or electric) indicating the address and the adult’s name d.
